Gunston Reading Challenge

The 2017-2018 Gunston Reading Challenge will kick off again soon! The GMS community is challenged to read many books in a variety of genres throughout the school year. Students will log their books in TA using a QR code posted in their classroom. TAs who read a certain number of books will be win prizes, and we’ll end the year with a celebration of all the books we’re read!

Students will not be graded on their reading efforts. The goal of  the program is for students to stretch themselves to read more and to read in genres that are unfamiliar to them. Parents can help their children by talking to them about what they’re reading and encouraging their students to keep reading. Students who need book recommendations can talk to peers, their teachers, or Gunston’s librarians, Ms. Shanker and Mr. Luttrell.
