Program Enrollment/High School Options

To be eligible for the Spanish Immersion program in grades 6-9:

Students must have functional oral proficiency in Spanish
Students must have reading and writing proficiency in Spanish no lower than one grade level below target
Students must pass an entrance test that includes reading in the content areas, a writing sample, and an oral interview

After graduating from 8th grade, Immersion students have the following options:

Wakefield High School Immersion Program

Spanish course designed to meet the needs of Immersion students
Advanced Placement options for Spanish language and literature
Opportunities for independent study, travel abroad, and completion of senior project in Spanish

Washington-Lee High School

Yorktown High School
