Greetings Families,

We are looking forward to connecting with you during Family-Teacher Feedback Day, otherwise known at Parent-Teacher conferences.  Based on the feedback about our last year’ structure, we made changes.  One change is we are being more intentional about including your children in the process.  We hope they will attend the conference with you and we are planning activities through TA to prepare them for the conference.  The second change is that all families will have the opportunity to meet with their child’s TA teacher, either in-person or virtually through Microsoft Teams.

You will receive an invitation from your child’s TA teacher to schedule a time for the conference.  The conferences will be held on Thursday, October 20th from 4pm to 8pm or on October 21st from 8am to 11:30am.

We will also be providing other opportunities for information about gifted services, Canvas support, and other topics during conference times.   A schedule of those events will be shared closer to conference time.

The main purpose of today’s message is to share that we heard the feedback about last year’s conference structure and have acted on it!  Also, we wanted you to be on the lookout for communication from your chid’s TA teacher about scheduling a time for a conference.

I continue to work on being more proactive with communication.  I’m excited about this new structure and wanted to tell you about it two weeks in advance!  Warmly,Dr. Wiggins
