February is an important time of the year as students select classes for the upcoming school year. We ask that you join us and encourage your children to stretch themselves academically, as middle school coursework is an important foundation for high school and beyond. Students have the opportunity to earn a high school credit in the 7th and/or 8th grade by taking a world language course. Earning high school credit in middle school gives students more options in high school. Additionally, the world language courses help students who want to apply to Washington-Liberty’s International Baccalaureate (IB) program, Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology, or Arlington Tech. This year, the course selection process at Gunston Middle School will be digital and the deadline to submit your child’s Course Request Form (CRF’s) is Wednesday, February 24, 2021.
