Thomas Jefferson High School for Science & Technology

TJHSST is a regional governor’s high school for students who have a genuine interest, curiosity, and creativity in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).  Eighth grade students who are currently taking Algebra I or Geometry can apply.  TJHSST is located in Fairfax County, and transportation will be provided to students who live in Arlington and are accepted to the program.  Online applications are available at www.TJAdmissions.org.  The window to apply ends on Friday, September 27 by 4 pm.  It is recommended that interested candidates apply early to allow for math verification. For assistance with the application process, Mrs. Kolody, 8th grade School Counselor, is the Gunston-TJHSST liaison/point of contact for the application process. Ms. Cottrell-Williams, Resource Teacher for the Gifted, will also be facilitating small groups to help students with their applications during lunch.
