LIGHT Club Mrs. Tenjo Tipton In this club, students will have the opportunity to share and experience different aspects of diverse cultures, languages, rhythms, and traditions of the world. Students will develop an appreciation of global culture by working together. I would like to create experiences that would help increase our students’ cultural awareness and provide them with opportunities for self and artistic expression.
National Junior Honor Society Sra. Delgado, Ms. Hatcher The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) elevates a school’s commitment to the values of scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship and helps middle-level students develop the knowledge and skills to become well-rounded student leaders in their school, community, and beyond.
Gunston Black Student Union (GBSU) Ms. Parquet, Mrs. La Student’s and staff come together to engage in discussions, raise awareness about important issues and promote a sense of community and empowerment. Its mission is to create a safe and inclusive space to discuss relevant topics, celebrate the African American cultural heritage, and address issues related to racial equity and social justice.

FBLA/Coding Club Mr. Dupree About the FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America)/Coding Club: • Exploration – FBLA/Coding Club provides an opportunity for boys and girls to explore a range of career skills as well as project-based learning experiences tied to a Business IT & Computer Science Program. Club members will identify problems and solutions to begin developing business and computer science skills. • Foundational Leadership Skills – The FBLA/Coding Club provides an opportunity for members to discover what lies within themselves as leaders and to gain foundational leadership skills.
