Meet Your Librarians

Carrieann Quinn

Hello, my name is Carrieann Quinn. I have been a librarian teacher at Gunston since 2018. I love learning. My goal is to create a safe space where all students feel welcome, use their creativity, and learn more about themselves and their world. When I am not at school I have a ball chasing my two year old around as he discovers the world for himself. In my refrigerator you can usually find 72% dark chocolate and tropicana orange juice.

About the Library

Vision

Through a love of reading and social engagement, the Gunston Library aims to engage students and staff in 21st century learning by creating effective and ethical users of resources, ideas, and information. We will empower students to be compassionate critical thinkers and lifelong learners who also value reading for personal fulfillment.

Mission

The Library’s mission is to provide a safe environment for all members of the Gunston community to have 24 hour access to a collection of print and digital resources. These inclusive resources enhance the middle school curriculum and provide opportunities to learn about other perspectives. We encourage adults to have conversations with their learners about what they are reading.
